An actor who co-starred with JIM CARREY in the film LIAR LIAR has been shot dead by a policeman after the man pointed a fake gun at him during a Halloween party.

ANTHONY DWAIN LEE, 39, died at the West Los Angeles mansion where he was shot. He had appeared in TV and film roles, including the character FRED in the 1997 Jim Carrey movie.

It is not clear if Lee knew the officer was responding to a noise complaint or if he thought he was just another partygoer in costume. Police say several hundred people, many of them in costume, were at the party.
