WGA Members Approve Demands

With only 2600 of 11,000 members casting ballots, members of the East Coast and West Coast branches of the Writers Guild of America have approved a list of demands that the guild will put before film and television producers next year. The demands include substantial raises in wages and residuals as well as the elimination of possessory credits ("A Film By ...") and the right for writers to participate "throughout the entire production process." The current guild contract expires on May 1.
