DARYL HANNAH admits she is still haunted by the death of her former boyfriend JOHN F KENNEDY JR - even though they had broken up years beforehand.

According to pals of the actress, who is currently appearing on stage in London's West End, the beautiful SPLASH star has become a shadow of her former self as she continues to mourn his death from a plane accident last year (99).

A pal confirms, "His death hit her really hard. When she heard about the crash she locked herself in her room and cried uncontrollably. "Even though she and John had broken up years ago, Daryl never stopped carrying a torch for him. She never loved anyone else the way she loved John." Sources say the fact Hannah is starring in the MARILYN MONROE classic THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH in London is no coincidence.
