Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana Join David O. Russell's New Movie

Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana have joined the ensemble cast of David O. Russell’s upcoming movie at New Regency.

The untitled film, in which plot details are as vague as the moniker itself, also stars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington. Russell will direct from his own script.

Production is currently underway in Los Angeles. Disney is distributing the film via New Regency’s deal with 20th Century Studios.

David O. Russell is the filmmaker behind the Oscar-winning movies “American Hustle” and "Silver Linings Playbook". He most recently directed "Joy", the 2015 drama starring Jennifer Lawrence. His other film credits include "Spanking the Monkey", "Flirting with Disaster", "Three Kings" and "I Heart Huckabees".

Rami Malek, who earned an Oscar for his performance as the late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), plays the supervillain in the forthcoming James Bond film No Time to Die (2020). He’ll soon be seen starring opposite Denzel Washington and Jared Leto in the John Lee Hancock-directed Warner Bros drama The Little Things, set to debut on HBO Max on January 29. Malek is repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment.

As for Zoe Saldana, she's been all over the Hollywood map lately. In addition to filming back-to-back sequels for James Cameron's Avatar film series, she's also set to star alongside starring Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo for Shawn Levy's The Adam Project.
