Lady Gaga in Talks to Star Opposite Brad Pitt in Action Thriller Bullet Train.

Lady Gaga has found her follow-up project, She's the latest performer to hop on board Sony's Bullet Train, an assassin thriller that’s set to be directed by David Leitch with Brad Pitt in the lead role.

The film is based on Kotaro Isaka's novel Maria Beetle, with a script by Zak Olkewicz. While the exact plot has yet to be specified, the story sees five assassins finding themselves on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are linked to one another. The question becomes, who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station?

Director David Leitch has been adding cast members in drip-feed fashion so far, and Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Masi Oka and Michael Shannon are all already aboard alongside Pitt.

The singer/actress is no stranger to high-octane action movies. She appeared in 2013's Machete Kills and later popped up in Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014).
She's also acted in Muppets Most Wanted (2014) and had an extended run on the FX horror series American Horror Story, but her most famous big-screen work is unquestionably as rising music star Ally in Bradley Cooper's excellent take on A Star Is Born (2018), which earned her a Best Actress Academy Award nomination and a win for Best Original Song.
