Cillian Murphy In Talks to Join 'A Quiet Place' Sequel With Emily Blunt.

Cillian Murphy is in talks to join the sequel to John Krasinski's "A Quiet Place" sequel.

Details about the A Quiet Place sequel are still pretty hush hush, but we do know Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe are set to return to the sequel which is set in the same world crawling with noise-targeting creatures.

John Krasinski is returning to direct the untitled sequel for Paramount. "A Quiet Place" grossed $340 million at the global box office last year. Since then, the film has won several awards, including the Screen Actors Guild Award for Blunt in the supporting actress category.

Krasinski also wrote the screenplay with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, and the trio received a Writers Guild nomination in the original category. Paramount announced in August that it had dated the sequel to "A Quiet Place" for May 15, 2020.

The John Krasinski-directed thriller has brought some much-needed box office success to Paramount after a rather bleak 12 months. The film has earned more than $213 million at the worldwide box office to date, including $134.8 million in North America.
