Fantastic Beasts 3 production pushed back to late 2019.

The next instalment of J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts franchise has faced a delay in production. Instead of beginning its shoot in July as was the original plan, Warner Bros. has now pushed production on Fantastic Beasts 3 back to late fall this year.

The delay is said to be due to the production team needing more pre-production time for the threequel. Actors are being alerted about the push in production in order to change their working schedules. David Yates is still set to direct the film which is likely to be shot at Leavesden studios in the UK.

Yates is currently still set to direct Fantastic Beasts 3 with Harry Potter veterans David Heyman, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wigram and Rowling producing. Rowling has once again written the screenplay.
