Sony Pictures has announced that the Tom Hanks-led Mr. Rogers biopic has officially been titled "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood".

The story follows the real-life friendship that blossomed between the beloved Fred Rogers and interviewer Tom Junod (Matthew Rhys). The cynical journalist begrudgingly accepting an assignment to write a profile piece on the beloved icon and finds his perspective on life transformed.

Chris Cooper co-stars while Marielle Heller ("Can You Ever Forgive Me?") directs the film which is scheduled for release on October 18th.
