Patrick Stewart keen on Jean-Luc Picard return for Quentin Tarantino’s Star Trek.

"Star Trek" actor Patrick Stewart is eager to reprise his role as Jean-Luc Picard for writer/director Quentin Tarantino's R-rated "Star Trek" movie.

"...one of my dreams is to work with Tarantino," said Stewart. "I admire his work so much, and to be in a Tarantino film would give me so much satisfaction. So, if he is going to direct something to do with 'Star Trek' and there was the possibility of dear old 'Jean-Luc' showing up again and doing that for Mr Tarantino, I would embrace it."

Tarantino is keen on 'time travel' stories including writer Harlan Ellison's "Star Trek" TV episode "City on the Edge of Forever", as well as the "Star Trek The Next Generation" episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" (1990), considering it to be the best of all the "Star Trek" stories set in the 24th century.
