September Tapes (2004) - Synopsis

SEPTEMBER TAPES is a rare and controversial look behind the scenes of war-torn Afghanistan, where documentary filmmaker Don Larson travels to the trouble country six months after 9/11 to follow a bounty hunter on the trail of Osama bin Laden, until Larson goes missing. Much of the film's footage was seized by the US Department of Defense for security reasons. It is the first non-Afghani film shot in Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban, and it is also the first feature shot in an active war zone.
