Based on the life of Ned Kelly and his brother Dan, sons of an Irish pig thief they were exiled to Autralia in 1843. They formed a gang with two other men, robbed a bank and hijacked an entire town for 3 days. The gang ended up wearing homemade body armour in a shootout at a pub that they had taken over. Kelly was eventually captured and hanged in Melbourne.
