Les Enfants Du marais

Rural France in the 1930s. Garris and Riton live in the marais, a quiet region along the banks of the loire. Riton, afflicted with a bad tempered wife and 3 unruly children, seeks solace and the memory of his first wife in wine, while Garris lives alone with his recollections of World War 1 trenches. Tane, the local train conducter, Amedee, a dreamer and a voracious reader of classics and Pepe who built his fortune in industry, also belong to the group of freinds. Life goes on through the seasons, family crisis, childrens games, passion and death.
