Ice Cold In Alex (1958) - Details

After the fall of Tobruk, a battle-fatigued army captain (John Mills), a Sargeant-Major (Harry Andrews) along with two nurses,escape across the North African Desert in a battered ambulance. Along the way they pick up a stray South African (Anthony Quayle) who they later discover to be a German spy. His life is spared after he helps them through the enemy lines to reach the famous glass of lager.
