In a small village on the coast of Ireland, the lads are getting restless. Disappointed by the local women they decide to place an advert in an American newspaper, asking young Yankee women to cross the Atlantic and marry them. Naturally the lasses of the village are less than impressed and decide to get their own back. While one marriage crumbles, the whole community wrangles with relationships. Could it be that happiness lies closer to home...?
