While Alex should be getting excited about his school trip to Paris, all he can think about are the omens of doom. The night before the flight is stormy, the boarding time 10:25 is the same as his birthday and they play John Denver just prior to boarding. When a vision of the plane exploding freaks him out and causes a fight on board, seven of the group are kicked off. Minutes later the 747 fireballs over the sea. And then those who missed the flight are picked off one by one.
