This year, the 5th Brisbane International Animation Festival is scheduled 14- 17 October 2004 at the South Bank Cinema Complex, Brisbane, Australia and is our most ambitious festival to date. Frank and Caroline Mouris, Isaac Kerlow, Bill Plympton, Adam Elliot and Ken Bielenberg are among our scheduled guest speakers. The venue, a 1180 seat cinema complex, boasts a massive 25 metre screen in its main cinema. South Bank is Brisbane's arts, education, culture and entertainment precinct situated near the Brisbane River. Please note our call for entries deadline is 6th August 2004. We are receiving a great number of national as well as international competition entries, which is exciting in itself. This festival also has an additional competition, which is a children's flipbook competition. This competition was extended to all schools within Queensland Australia, and should provide an excellent session of entertainment to be presented along with the programs we have planned.
