Ice Age : Movie Review

On Saturday night me, my little brother James (who is 5 years old) and my best friend Charlotte (who is 7 years old and 2 weeks younger than me) went to the Cinema to see Ice Age.

I wasn't too keen to go, as I wanted to see Jimmy Neutron but Mummy said it wasn't out yet so we went as it meant we would get loads of sweets and popcorn!

Ice Age is a story about three very funny animal outcasts who go on a journey to reunite a baby human with his Daddy. There is Manny the Woolly Mammoth, who is a little grumpy (but you find out why and this bit might make you cry!) Sid the Sloth who is very daft and Diego a very sly Sabre Toothed Tiger (who is not to be trusted). Then of course there is the baby whom they call Pinkie, amongst other things. On their journey they have a few close encounters but discover that the best friends come in all shapes and sizes.

At the start a little squirrel thing called Scrat tries to bury his acorn in the frozen ground, this causes it to crack right the way up to the top of a mountain. The little squirrel tries to run away and ends up nearly getting squashed between two Ice packs - his eyes nearly pop out of his head as he has the first of many near misses. This started me laughing until my tummy ached and I don't think I managed to stop until the very end. Even my little brother didn't once ask to go to the toilet and he hasn't stopped doing Diego impressions since 'Where's the baby? - There He Is!' you'll have to watch it to understand that bit…

Mummy thought it was really good too, she laughed a lot and I think I saw her crying a little bit. We can't wait for it to come out on DVD cause I'm sick of James watching Shrek for the hundred thousandth time and I think that this was as funny, although I like the music in Shrek better.

If I was you and you haven't seen it you must - it's really funny and makes you go home feeling happy. If you don't like it you must be a miserable person with no sense of humour because it's ace!!
