Young Victoria, The : Victoria’s Secrets

Victoria’s Secrets
The original love story of Queen Victoria & Prince Albert

This year, rather than splash out on lavish materialistic gifts such as expensive flowers, jewellery or even holidays, why not celebrate Valentine’s Day as it was intended – by honouring love and romance?

This sentiment is echoed in the story of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, one of England’s truest tales of love. To mark the commemorative wedding anniversary of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on 10 February, Momentum Pictures are releasing The Young Victoria in March. This royal story of romance and passion shows how falling in love can literally take your breath away.

From Academy Award® winners Graham King and Martin Scorsese comes the story of Queen Victoria’s early rise to power. From a royal power-struggle to a romantic courtship and legendary marriage to Prince Albert, Emily Blunt (Devil Wears Prada) gives a stunning performance as the young Victoria.
Packed with drama, romance, political intrigue, breath-taking cinematography and featuring an outstanding British cast including Jim Broadbent, Mark Strong, Paul Bettany, Miranda Richardson and Rupert Friend, The Young Victoria will captivate audiences everywhere.

While Victoria and Albert’s engagement was actually pre-arranged, luckily their romance was true. The film’s producer, Graham King, described theirs as a “true love story”. He went on to comment: “It is a human story, a story that people can relate to rather than just being a standard period film or film about royalty.”

Celebrate your Valentine’s Day in honour of their love affair, and ensure that your relationship is filled with heart-stopping romance, respect and loyalty. Impress the one you love with all that is romantic and true and take them out for a special meal, walk on the beach or trip to the cinema!

The Young Victoria is at cinemas everywhere from 6 March. To find out more about the fabulous cast, costumes and to discover more about the original love story visit www.theyoungvictoria.co.uk
