Based on the hit TV series, this animated feature-length adventure sees Homer embark on a quest to save the planet from a catastrophe he created all by himself. After the rock band Green Day are killed by pollution in the lake where they are performing, Grampa has a religious vision at their funeral in which he predicts impending doom on Springfield. Russ Cargill, head of the EPA, takes drastic action by enclosing Springfield in a giant glass dome after Homer disposes of his adopted pig’s waste in the lake, and now he must fight to save his family and the residents of Springfield from imminent disaster.
