Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers : Story

For anyone who is interested in the art of claymation, and for those who follow the trials and tribulations of Wallace and Gromit, THE WRONG TROUSERS is for you. Nick Park has created a wonderfully nasty villain who manages to worm his way into Wallace's good graces. But, fortunately, Gromit is a better judge of character and realizes that the notorious penguin has evil on his mind. Using an innovative design of Wallace's (a pair of robotic trousers), the penguin attempts to break into a museum and steal a fabulously rare diamond. It appears at first that he will be successful. But, Gromit manages to save the day - the penguin is caught, Wallace receives the reward money, and the trousers walk off into the sunset.

I really enjoyed this film for many reasons, but primarily, because I am a huge fan of animation in general and claymation in particular. Nick Park has a flair for creating characters that linger in the viewer's mind long after the final frame has ended. Wallace and Gromit are two of my favourite animated characters, and I would certainly look forward to seeing them in another feature.

This medicore film gives us a plot which looks like it was robbed from George Lucas desk (The fact being there are thieves in this picture). Profion (Jeremey Irons) has been working on a rod to control the dragons of Izmer so he can overthrow the Empress and council. The rod fails due to the power and magic of the dragon. Profion contacts the council of mages that leads the young Empress Savina (Thora Birch) into a feeding frenzy by playing into their fears of equality. Profion also learns of the \"Rod of Savrille\" which gives it user the ability to control red dragons. He send\'s his henchman Damodar (Played by the ever charasmatic Bruce Payne) to find the Dragon\'s Eye which will lead him to the Rod. Two theives Ridley (Justin Whalin) and Snails (Marlon Wayans) try to stop Profion and Damodar and both enlist the help of Elwood (Lee Arenberg) a viking like dwarf. They are also given a dose of magic by a helpful & beautiful mage Marina (Zoe \"you know she\'s the love story\!
"
mc kellan). Kristen wilson gives a good performance as Norda the empresses finest tracker and Richard O\' Brien makes a cameo performance as Zilius the cheif of the theives guild.
