Edward Burns
Director/Producer/Writer/Actor

Edward Burns was last seen starring opposite Robert DeNiro in the action thriller Fifteen Minutes. Before that he starred opposite Tom Hanks in Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan. The critically acclaimed World War II epic marked the first picture in which Burns acted that he did not write and direct himself.

Burns' critically acclaimed first feature The Brothers McMullen premiered in competition at the 1995 Sundance Film Festival and won the Grand Jury Prize. As with Sidewalks of New York, he wrote, directed, produced and starred in The Brothers McMullen, which was shot on a budget of $25,000 and went on to gross over $10 million at the box office, making it pound-for-pound the most profitable film of its year. His other features include the romantic comedy She's The One, starring Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston and the intimate drama No Looking Back, co-starring Lauren Holly and Jon Bon-Jovi. In conjunction with the release of No Looking Back, Hyperion Press published Three Screenplays by Edward Burns.

Edward Burns and his brother Brian wrote, created and executive produced the half-hour comedy for NBC The Fighting Fitzgeralds, which stars Brian Dennehy.

As is true of "Tommy," the character he plays in Sidewalks of New York, Edward Burns was born in Woodside, Queens and raised on Long Island. He studied filmmaking at Hunter College before making The Brothers McMullen. He is currently in post-production on his latest film Ash Wednesday, which he also wrote, directed and produced starring alongside Elijah Wood, Rosario Dawson and Oliver Platt. Furthermore, he is acting opposite Angelina Jolie in the romantic comedy Life, or Something Like It.

Margot Bridger
Producer

In 1999, Margot Bridger co-produced the controversial film Jesus' Son, directed by Alison Maclean. Her first producing projects were the independent features The Delta and Arresting Gena, both of which premiered at Sundance in 1997. Bridger is currently making Ash Wednesday with Edward Burns and developing Forty Shades of Blue, a love story set against the music scene in Memphis, with director Ira Sachs. She has been working in independent film since graduating from Yale in 1987. She has a Masters in film from New York University.

Cathy Schulman
Producer

Cathy Schulman is President of Production for Artists Production Group, the production division of Artists Management Group. She is also head of production for a joint venture formed between APG and media giant StudioCanal, which will produce 12-15 films globally during a three year period.

Under Schulman, APG is in pre-production on Michael Crichton's Timeline with Richard Donner directing, and The 28th Amendment to be directed by Jan de Bont. She helped develop and secure financing for Martin Scorsese' s Gangs of New York, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio. Schulman currently oversees a development slate of over fifty projects.

Schulman graduated from Yale University and served as Production and Acquisitions Executive at Sovereign Pictures, supervising production of feature films for international distribution, including My Left Foot, Reversal of Fortune and The Commitments. She programmed the Sundance Film Festival for three years, was Vice President of Production and Acquisitions at the Samuel Goldwyn Company and was President and producing partner at Lobell-Bergman Productions.

Rick Yorn
Producer

Prior to forming Artists Management Group with partners Michael Ovitz and Julie Silverman-Yorn, Rick Yorn served as co-president of Industry Entertainment, where he was instrumental in developing the management company's client roster as well as establishing it as a production entity. Before Industry Entertainment, he spent two years with Carlyle Management. He began his career in the entertainment business in the literary department of Susan Smith and Associates before being promoted to talent agent.

His clients at AMG include Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Martin Scorsese, Edward Burns and Ted Demme. He is executive producer of Martin Scorsese's forthcoming Gangs Of New York, which stars DiCaprio, Diaz and Daniel Day Lewis.

Brian Burns
Associate Producer

Brian Burns, writer and producer for television, recently ventured into the film industry. Burns wrote and directed You Stupid Man, a romantic comedy starring Milla Jovavich, Denise Richards, David Krumholtz and William Baldwin for Artists Production Group. During Burns' development deal with Fox Television, he created, wrote and produced a half-hour sitcom for their production company Irish Twins Productions. The sitcom, "That's Life" aired on ABC that spring in 1998. With his brother Edward he wrote, created and executive produced the NBC sitcom "The Fighting Fitzgeralds. " Burns attended the University of Maryland and received his bachelor's degree from the School of Radio, Television and Film.


Aaron Lubin
Associate Producer

Aaron Lubin heads Edward Burns' production company Marlboro Road Gang. He is currently serving as co-producer on Burns' fifth film Ash Wednesday. Lubin is developing numerous projects with Burns, including the romantic-comedy The Miss Little Thing, in which he and Burns share story credit. He also helped develop The "Fighting Fitzgeralds," a half hour sitcom for NBC, which was created and executive produced by Edward Burns and his brother Brian. Before Marlboro Road Gang, Lubin was an executive at Kopelson Entertainment for two years. He received a law degree from Loyola Law School in 1995.

† Frank Prinzi's work as a cinematographer includes feature films like†Chinese Coffee, The Best Man and 200 Cigarettes. He previously photographed No Looking Back and She's The One for writer-director Edward Burns. His television credits include work on the series Northern Exposure.

David Greenwald

David Greenwald is currently editing Ash Wednesday, Edward Burns' upcoming film. He also was editor on Sex and The Other Man (1996) and cut the innovative historical documentary Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey and Jonathan Demme's documentary Cousin Bobby in 1992.



Catherine Thomas
Costume Designer

Catherine Thomas is currently designing the costumes for Tape, the new film by director Richard Linklater, which stars Uma Thurman, Ethan Hawke and Robert Sean Leonard and just completed costumes for Ash Wednesday for Edward Burns with Rosario Dawson. Before Sidewalks of New York, she designed the costumes for Ethan Hawke's The Last Word on Paradise, Blue Moon, Other Voices, Spring Forward, Safe Men, Louis and Frank and Arresting Gina.
