Homme du train, L' : Movie Review

L'homme du train
Directed by Patrice Leconte
Starring : Jean Rochefort, Johnny Halliday

That movie tells the story of two unhappy men. The first is retired, and lives in a cosy old house wanting new adventures. The second is a thief, dreaming of a quiet life. .. They will become friends.

Patrice Leconte 's career is made of success and failure. His two last movies weren't good unlike the poetic new film. The characters are very attaching. .. the man played by Jean Rochefort seems to be quite pathetic, but he becomes someone moving. The force of that movie is the intelligence of its screenplay written by Claude Klotz. The dialogues are so funny, the situations are sometimes absurd and that makes it a funny movie, and those things are made great by the two main actors. The direction of Patrice Leconte is also good, even if it is quite sober.
So, L'homme du train is a nice movie, with good morality helped by a good director and above all, by wonderful two actors, Johnny halliday and the great Jean Rochefort.
