Gemini Man (2019) DVDI'd been waiting for this film to hit home release as I'd missed it at the cinema and was keen to see it as it stars Will Smith. I'm of an age of TV and film watchers who love Will Smith from the beginning of his career when he starred as the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. And of course the Bad Boys films - soon to hit cinemas again with a new, third installment.

So what's Gemini Man like? It's a fun and exciting thrill ride in which we are treated to not just one, but two central performances from Smith. And he's in good form!

Few films contain elements of action, thriller, mystery and chase movie all in one, fewer still manage to combine all those elements successfully. That's mostly thanks to the impressive direction from Ang Lee.

Despite a few bumps along the way Gemini Man is a well written and nicely directed film with a great central performance. Smith owns the movie from star to finish that's for sure, but there is great support from Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Clive Owen.

Whilst not everyone loved this film and it did receive some poor reviews I personally enjoyed the story which I thought was nicely complex and we'll crafted by David Benioff who wrote The 25th Hour, Troy, The Kite Runner and perhaps most notably X-Men Origins Wolverine all of which I thought were good films. He's never hit the ultimate big time as a writer but I appreciate his work.

Gemini Man is good Friday night viewing. It's got action and thrills and double Will Smith.

The Digital**, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray releases are packed with over an hour of fascinating bonus content, including an alternate opening, deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes explorations of the film’s groundbreaking technology, interviews with the cast and crew, and more.
