Spirit: Stallion of Cimarron : Bryan Adams Soundtrack Footage

Canadian rocker Bryan Adams is no stranger to success when it comes to movie soundtracks. His biggest hit to date, 1991's 'Everything I Do', was written for 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991)'. Adams received an Oscar nomination the song. It was the first of three he has won for his work for the big screen. The question on everyone's lips is whether Adams is in line for another Oscar nomination.

Adams worked alongside multi-award winner Hans Zimmer (Lion King, The (1994), Gladiator (1992), Hannibal (2001)) on Spirit. Ultimately they both answered to Jeffrey Katzenberg. The movie mogul is a notorious perfectionist. He thought nothing of binning a song he felt wasn't exactly right.

"He's a very hands-on kind of guy that Jeffrey," says Adams. "I used Jeffrey as the direct motivation for the rodeo song Get Off My Back. That phrase became my mantra. I was always trying to get Jeffrey off my back. "

Six of Adams' songs made it into the film, with a further five appearing on the soundtrack album. Of those that didn't make the final cut, Adams jokes, "If they ever mount a Broadway version of Spirit, I already have more material than they'd ever need. "
