Biography

Steven Haft (Producer) has been a prolific producer of film and television since 1982. His productions have garnered seven Oscar(r) nominations, eight Emmy(r) nominations and a Peabody Award. They have grossed in excess of $350 million in worldwide revenue.

After 15 years in politics, law, and public policy, Haft produced the Academy Award-nominated documentary "Traveling Hopefully." His feature credits include "Beyond Therapy" directed by Robert Altman, the box-office and critical hit "Dead Poets Society (1989)," "Mr North (1988)," "Hocus Pocus (1993), and "Last Dance (1996)," which Haft co-wrote. Among his more recent credits are "Emma (1996)," the Robin Williams starrer "Jakob the Liar (1999)," "Third Miracle, The (1999)," and the upcoming "Beautiful Joe (2000)," starring Sharon Stone.

For television, Haft executive produced "Mrs. Cage," and produced the telefilm "Rear Window," which marked Christopher Reeve's return to the screen in a leading role; "Pirates of Silicon Valley," and the Peabody Award-winning "Strange Justice." He continues to serve as co-executive
producer of "MAD-TV," now in its fifth year on Fox.
