Don Zepfel is currently working on location in Nashville, as an executive producer on Untitled military Prism Film. He was born in Santa Barbara and received a degree in Communications from Stanford University in 1970. He then served as documentary cameraman in the Pacific and Far East for DASP, The department of Army special Photographic Operation. E next attended graduate school in the Ethnographic Film programmed at UCLA before entering the Assistant Directors Training Programme.
He and his wife, motion picture costumer Carol Hybl, live in Sherman Oaks with their children Meg, Ted and Andrew. He serves on the board of Trustees of the \Assistant Directors training programme and on the board of the California Film Commission. He is also a member of the Directors Guild of America.
