MARISOL PADILLA SANCHEZ has performed on stage, screen, and television - both in the United States and in her native Mexico. She began her U.S. career with a role in David Lynchs "Dune."
Since moving to the U.S. full time, Padilla Sanchez has had substantial screen roles in Wim Wenders' "The End of Violence," Curtis Hansons "L.A. Confidential," and Alex Winters "Fever." In addition to Traffic, she can currently be seen in Julian Schnabels award-winning "Before Night Falls."
Her Mexican film credits include "La Casa Que Arde De Noche" and "Mojados De Corazon." She also starred in the highly rated Mexican televison series "Chipas" and "El Maleficio." For Spanish television, she co-produced, co-wrote, and starred in "Mara Morena."
Padilla Sanchez earned a Dramalogue Award for her performance in the Los Angeles production of "La Chunga."
Her U.S. television appearances include a recurring role on the UPN series "Legend," a recurring role on the NBC series "Men Behaving Badly," and a starring role on the Disney Channel series "Matchpoint."
