JOE HUTSHING earned an Academy Award® nomination for his first collaboration with Cameron Crowe, Jerry Maguire (1996). A two-time Academy Award® winner, he took home his first Oscar® (shared with David Brenner) for his work on Oliver Stone's powerful biopic Born on the Fourth of July (1989) starring Tom Cruise.

He won his second (shared with Pietro Scalia) for Stone's controversial JFK (1991) for which he also garnered a BAFTA Award and the American Cinema Editor's "Eddy" Award.

Hutshing's association with Oliver Stone began when was an associate editor on Wall Street (1987) He went on to serve as an editor on Stone's films Talk Radio (1988) and Doors, The (1991) He has also worked with other noted directors on such films as Meet Joe Black (1998) for Martin Brest; Broken Arrow (1996), helmed by John Woo; French Kiss (1995) directed by Lawrence Kasdan; River Wild, The (1994) for Curtis Hanson; and Indecent Proposal (1993) directed by Adrian Lyne.
