Biography

PHILIP BAKER HALL is a veteran actor with a long list of film and television roles to his credit. Last year, he appeared in three Academy Award®-nominated films: "Insider, The (1999) ," "Magnolia (1999) " and "Talented Mr. Ripley, The (1999)." His feature film work also includes "Rules Of Engagement (2000) ," "Cradle Will Rock (1999) ," Gus Van Sant's "Psycho (1998) ," "Rush Hour (1998) ," "Truman Show, The (1998) ," "Boogie Nights (1997) ," "Air Force One (1997) ," "Eye For An Eye (1996) ," "Kiss Of Death (1995) ," "Say Anything (1989) ," "Ghostbusters II (1989) ," "Midnight Run (1988) " and Robert Altman's "Secret Honor," in which he starred as Richard Nixon.
On television, Hall has co-starred in numerous movies and miniseries, including "Witness to the Mob," "Without Warning," "Roswell," "Crash Landing: The Rescue of Flight 232" and "Incident at Dark River," to name only a few. He will soon be seen starring as Aristotle Onassis in the CBS miniseries "Jackie." He is also recognized for his role as the indefatigable library "cop" Mr. Bookman on the hit series "Seinfeld."
