Wood, a distinguished British film, TV and stage actor, embarked on his acting career while still an Oxford University undergraduate, "as a way of doing other things". He has built up a considerable body of stage work (with the Royal Shakespeare Company and others). Working with such celebrated theatre directors as Harold Pinter, Peter Hall, Tony Richardson, Terry Hands and Trevor Nunn, he has won numerous Best Actor awards including coveted Evening Standard, SWET and Tony Awards for Peter Wood's TRAVESTIES.
