Biography

Liv TylerLiv Tyler made her film debut with a leading role in Silent Fall (1994) directed by Bruce Beresford. After filming another leading role, in Allan Moyle's Empire Records (1995) she starred in James Mangold's Heavy (1995) a favorite at the 1995 Sundance Film Festival.

She next starred in Bernardo Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty (1996), with Jeremy Irons; in Tom Hanks' That Thing You Do! (1996); in Pat O’Connor 's Inventing The Abbotts (1997); in Michael Bay's blockbuster hit Armageddon (1998); in Robert Altman's Cookie's Fortune (1999); in the USA Films release Plunkett & Macleane (1999), directed by Jake Scott; in Martha Fiennes' Onegin (1999), opposite Ralph Fiennes; and, most recently, in Robert Altman's Dr. T and the Women (2000)

Tyler will next be seen starring in Peter Jackson's epic JRR Tolkien trilogy adaptation Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring (2001) the first film of which is due out in late 2001.
