Steve Pyke has exhibited world-wide and worked for many publications, photographing the personalities of the century. His sitters include many of the great religious and political leaders, prominent figures in the arts and popular culture as well as the homeless and dispossessed. He undertakes long-term personal projects such as Philosophers, portraits of the principal Philosophers of the western world, and Uniforms, an investigation of European youth identity. He is currently continuing his work with a series of portraits of the homeless and is photographing a new series Astronauts. He has recently completed and published a CD ROM virtual exhibition Pyke-Eye based at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
