Biography

MARGUERITE DERRICKS (Dance Choreographer) is among the top choreographers currently working in the entertainment industry. Her remarkable choreography has enhanced literally hundreds of films and television programs, commercials, music videos and stage productions. Derricks has won three Emmy Awards: for The 1998 Goodwill Games opening and closing ceremonies, for "Fame LA" and for the top-rated television series, "3rd Rock From The Sun."

Derricks began her dance training in Buffalo, New York at the age of five. At age 16 she received a dance scholarship to study with the New York City Ballet and later went on to dance with the National Ballet of Canada and the Philadelphia Ballet. Derricks’ gift for choreography first became apparent during the music video explosion of the ’80s; a few of the recording artists with whom she has worked include Quincy Jones, Celine Dion, Little Richard and Barry White. Derricks’ choreography has also appeared on numerous television programs including "The MTV Movie Awards," "Melrose Place," "Linc's," "Will & Grace" and "That 70’s Show."
