Christine Baranski - Details

Biography

Baranski graduated from the prestigious Julliard School and went on to perform in numerous regional and off-Broadway productions. Her big break came with Tom Stoppard's hit Broadway comedy The Real Thing, directed by Mike Nichols, for which she received a Tony and Drama Desk Award.

The actress earned her second Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her performance as a chain-smoking hyper kinetic in Neil Simon's Rumors. Baranski also received a Drama Desk Award for Lips Together, Teeth Apart, a role that was written for her by Terrance McNally.
