Rosamund Pike To Play War Reporter Marie Colvin.

Rosamund Pike has been set to portray Marie Colvin in the untitled film about the American reporter who worked in conflict zones including Chechnya, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, where she lost her left eye in 2001.

Arash Amel has written the script, which adapts Marie Brenner's 2012 Vanity Fair article Marie Colvin's Private War. It'll chronicle the work of Colvin, who filed reports from conflict zones including Chechnya, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, where she lost her left eye in 2001. She became known for her distinctive patch, and kept working, dying during a rocket attack in 2012 while covering the civil war in Syria.

Pike, last seen in A United Kingdom, has World War II drama The Man With The Iron Heart and Hostiles due this year.
