DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures have announced that a sequel to "Trolls" is officially on the way with an April 10th 2020 release planned.

Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake will reprise the roles of Poppy and Branch in the new musical. Timberlake produced the soundtrack for the first film and opened the Oscars broadcast this past Sunday with the nominated song "Can’t Stop the Feeling," no word if he’ll do the same again for the sequel – but it’s likely.

The first film earned $340 million worldwide and also starred the likes of Russell Brand, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Ron Funches, Icona Pop, Gwen Stefani, Zooey Deschanel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jeffrey Tambor, Christine Baranski, Quvenzhane Wallis and John Cleese.
