Radcliffe sparks fan stampede at Venice Film Festival

Daniel Radcliffe sparked a mini stampede at the Venice Film Festival this weekend, where he is promoting his latest film.

The actor arrived at the prestigious movie festival last night (September 1) for the premiere of Kill Your Darlings, in which he stars opposite Dane DeHaan.

According to Deadline, Radcliffe was mobbed by fans at the Lido, and was also allegedly harassed by fans in a public bathroom.

He was reportedly unshaken as fans "thumped on the walls and rattled the windows" during the press conference for the movie.

The 24-year-old actor said: "I've been dealing with it in various ways since I was 11… I'm incredibly grateful for the swirl of support behind me. My fans seem excited by the unconventional path I am taking."

Kill Your Darlings is scheduled for release on October 18 in the US and November 8 in the UK.
