Anna Faris is pregnant with her first child, according to reports.

The 35-year-old actress and her actor husband Chris Pratt are looking forward to the patter of tiny footsteps this autumn, with her spokesperson confirming the news to People.com.

The couple, who married in 2009, had been open about wanting to start a family but Anna admitted the timing was "so hard in this industry".

She added: "Chris wants a big family."

Anna, who next stars alongside Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator, is filming Dan Mazer's romantic comedy I Give It A Year in London with Rafe Spall, Rose Byrne and Simon Baker.

Chris, 32, will next be seen in The Five-Year Engagement with Jason Segel and Emily Blunt. He's working on Kathryn Bigelow's war thriller Zero Dark Thirty and will be in Ten Year alongside Channing Tatum.
