Cruise causes controversy with new film

Tom Cruise has found himself at the centre of controversy over his new film Valkyrie.

The film, which is about a German aristocrat who was behind a plot to assasinate Hitler, has upset a Christian group.

Berlin's Christian Democratic Party are not impressed with the idea of a Scientologist playing the role of a democratic hero.

Tom Cruise has openly admitted to being a follower of Scientology.

But not only does the group refuse to recognise Scientology as a religion, they also think that it as a way to encourage dangerous beliefs.

Babelsberg Film Studios in Germany have dismissed claims that the production was banned from filming and say they have the full go ahead for the shoot.
