Daniel Craig to make second Bond film

James Bond producers have confirmed that Daniel Craig will star in a second 007 film.

With Casino Royale due out in November, Craig has already been lined up for the next flick planned for May 2008.

Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said: "As we wrap production on Casino Royale, we couldn't be more excited about the direction the franchise is heading with Daniel."

They praised his "darker and edgier 007".

Craig, 44, was chosen last year to replace Pierce Brosnan as the spy. The 2008 release will be the 22nd Bond film.

Notting Hill director Roger Michell is reportedly in talks to direct the next Bond movie.
