Scarlett Johansson has agreed to star in the independent film Napoleon and Betsy.

According to Variety the movie centres on the true story of Napoleon's last years on St Helena as seen through the eyes of an English girl with whom he falls in love.

Johansson has signed also agreed to star in The Nanny Diaries, as well as Signature Pictures' Amazon and Neil Jordan's upcoming Borgia.
