Gwyneth to present an Oscar


Gwyneth Paltrow has confirmed she will present an Oscar at the ceremony.

Paltrow returned to the limelight in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow in October 2004, following a short break to have her first child - a daughter called Apple.

Her upcoming projects include a film adaptation of the memoir Running With Scissors and playing Peggy Lee in the biopic of Truman Capote, entitled Every Word is True.

Paltrow won a best actress Academy Award in 1999 for Shakespeare in Love reports BBC online.

Director Martin Scorsese will also be handing out a trophy on Oscar night.

Nominated for best director for The Aviator, Scorsese has been nominated seven times before but has always walked away empty-handed.
