British actress Rosamund Pike has signed on to star in the video game adaptation Doom.

She will play scientist Samantha, opposite Karl Urban, who will play John Grimm, the leader of a special ops team at the centre of the action-adventure pic.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is also set to take a leading role.

Poland's Andrzej Bartkowiak will direct the film, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Rosamund Pike is currently filming Pride And Prejudice opposite Keira Knightley, and she will also soon be seen starring opposite Johnny Depp and Samantha Morton in The Libertine.
