Man admits trespassing at Schwarzenegger home

A man caught sneaking around Arnold Schwarzenegger's estate has admitted trespassing charges.

Superior Court Judge Antonio Barreto Jr has ordered 32-year-old Richard Sathianathan to undergo psychological counselling for trespassing at the estate on September 15.

Sathianathan also was sentenced to three years' probation and told to stay away from Schwarzenegger, his wife, Maria Shriver, their property and the California governor's mansion.

Sathianathan, originally from Toronto, Canada, also pleaded guilty to tampering with one of Schwarzenegger's vehicles during his unauthorised visit.

He received credit for 50 days already spent in the county jail on that charge.

Private security guards made the original arrest after Sathianathan jumped a fence at the estate.

Detectives later determined Sathianathan had visited the property several times.
