Brett Ratner is close to finalising a deal to direct John Travolta's new movie Be Cool.

The sequel to the 1995 feature Get Shorty will see Travolta reprise his role as Miami mobster-turned-movie producer Chili Palmer.

He decides he's had enough of movies and turns to the music business.

He meets a sexy young singer and decides to make her into a star.
