Kylie Angry With Ex-Boyfriend's Coments

KYLIE Minogue has told ex-boyfriend James Gooding to grow up after he claimed the singer was a control freak who will end up a lonely spinster.
Minogue, currently in Paris with new beau, French actor Olivier Martinez, was seething when Gooding told a British Sunday newspaper she had led him to drink and the brink of suicide.

He said Minogue, 34, had changed from the woman he met at a party in Los Angeles three years ago.

"She turned into a self obsessed, virtually friendless control freak, desperate to pursue her ambitions as far as she could take them," he said.

"I fear she is going to end up a lonely spinster with only a cat by her side for company."

But the Australian pop star hit back in British paper The Daily Star today, saying her boyfriend of three years had to "grow up and move on".

"It's sad James has let it come to this. I wish he'd just accept that we have to move on," she told the Star.

"We had a great time, but it's run its course - even though I remain fond of him.

"
But I can't let my life be governed by him."

Even though Gooding, 27, had admitted to several affairs with a string of high-profile beauties while going out with Minogue, the English model said he felt humiliated by the break-up last year.

He said he took a cocktail of cocaine, alcohol and sleeping pills and spent 10 days in a clinic being treated for depression.

"
I felt I was on the verge of a breakdown. Kylie didn't bother to see or call me," he told the Daily Star Sunday.

But he received no sympathy from his father who said he only had himself to blame for the break-up.

"
He has been playing the field and has had an armful of girls, all high-profile types," Jack Gooding told The Daily Mirror.

"
He even told Kylie about his affair with Sophie Dahl, so what did he expect?"
