Nicole Stages Comeback

NICOLE Kidman is poised to return to London's West End.

She has been offered a role in The Lady From The Sea to be staged at the tiny Almeida Theatre in Islington, next year.

Kidman starred in The Blue Room at the Donmar Warehouse, shedding her clothes with such a flourish she was described as "pure theatrical Viagra".

Kidman is locked in negotiations with Sir Trevor Nunn over a return to the London stage. "We're talking with Nicole and she has expressed a keen interest in doing it," said Almeida artistic director Michael Attenborough.

Already touted as a likely Oscar winner for her performance in The Hours, Kidman was first approached by Nunn two years ago to appear in the The Lady From The Sea.
