Nicolas Cage has filed for divorce from Lisa Marie Presley after three months of marriage.
He cited irreconcilable differences, said the US TV show Entertainment.

The programme reported Cage filed divorce papers in Los Angeles to end his brief marriage with the only child of Elvis Presley.

The couple were married in Hawaii in August after a year-long courtship. The pair recited wedding vows in a secret ceremony on the islands.

It was Presley's third marriage and Cage's second.

Lisa Marie's previous husbands were musician Danny Keough and Michael Jackson.

Cage divorced actress Patricia Arquette in 2000.

There is no immediate comment from publicists for Presley or Cage.
