Winona Jury Fail To Reach A Verdict

The jury on the shoplifting trial of Hollywood star Winona Ryder have failed to make a decision after five hours of deliberation.

The jury consisting of six men and six women will return to the courthouse later today to consider their verdict. Ryder's defence claim that the staff at Saks Fifth Avenue invented a story to make her look guilty in an attempt to avoid a lawsuit. It is claimed that they changed their stories and taped over a security video tape that may have contained important evidence.

Prosecutor Ann Rundle said, "She came, she stole, she left, end of story"

A judge who wasn't prepared to allow television cameras into the court has changed his mind and the final decision on the trial can now be televised.
