Robert Downey Jnr. Drug Charges Dropped

Robert Downey Jnr was said to be 'absolutely ecstatic' after his drug charges were dropped by the Riverside County court.

The decision was made after he had been judged to have been drug free for the past 14 months. Downey Jnr. was previously sentenced to 12 months in a live-in rehabilitation centre after been caught in possession of cocaine in November 2000.

Robert is said to be very happy with the news and looking forward to returning to acting, though Deputy District Attorney Kevin Shek was less impressed with the outcome and would have preferred to see him on an "additional six months of aftercare" which he considered would be more appropriate considering his history of substance abuse.
